We come together to practice, in stillness and with sharing.
The form when we meet in an evening is two periods of sitting meditation, 20 minutes each, with walking meditation in between.
We read together a translation of Dogen's "Rules for Meditation" and we finish with some chanting at the end.
A talk about the texts chanted at the end is set out below in the files "Vespers1" and "Vespers2".
Then we usually over tea we might listen to a talk from a monk or share a reading.
There is no charge for coming to the group; a bowl is made available for people who are able to contribute to the costs of the group (which is mainly the hire of the room).
