Wymondham Retreat, Sat.26th February, with Rev. Leoma

posted 12 Feb 2011, 13:28 by Cambridge Serene Reflection Meditation Group   [ updated 12 Feb 2011, 13:31 ]

The retreat will be held at the Fairland Church Centre, at the top of the green, on the route into the Town Centre of Wymondham.

Access is via a cul de sac off Fairland Street (not via the main doors at the front of the church), immediately to the left of the church buildings.  There is a small car park by this entrance, where things can be dropped off, and there will be room for a few cars.

For the able-bodied, there is a Central Hall Car Park, reached via Avenue Road (to the right of the Church and the greenland); continue round to the left, following the P sign (the Health Centre is on your left), and turn right into Back Lane; the car park is a 'Pay and Display' and all day parking is £3;  you can reach the Church, on foot from there, by cutting through the Health Centre car park.

The retreat will run from 10am until 4.0pm but we should have access to the buildings from 9.15am, to allow plenty of time to set up, to gather and to refresh, before the retreat starts.

Reverend Leoma will be looking at "What is it good to do?" in response to a request from some group members. This will be in regard to making decisions, voicing concerns, engaging (or not) with issues around us and dealing with doubt.  This topic came up specifically in relation to the OBC Interim Board and we are free to take the discussion in that direction if we wish.

Please bring food for a shared meal, as usual.

Also bring your meditation requirements (bench, mat, Scripture books etc)
