Retreat 10th Nov more details

posted 6 Oct 2012, 08:01 by Cambridge Serene Reflection Meditation Group   [ updated 28 May 2013, 14:56 ]

Day retreat on Saturday 10th November in Cambridge.

St Andrew’s Hall, Chesterton, where we met back in March.  Some more information about the Hall is here: http://www.standrews-hall.co.uk/  There is parking for a few cars at the Hall itself.  Other parking would be on streets nearby, probably fewer restrictions on a Saturday than in the week.

Rev Leoma will be there and Rev Mugo will be there too.

Timing: we have the Hall from 10.00, so after setting up we aim to start promptly at 10:30 and go through to 4.30

Although we haven’t formally established a programme, I am assuming it will be along previous lines and so include:

Meditation, a talk from a monk, questions and answers, a chance to talk to a monk privately, some ceremonial, and lunch from what we each bring….

Please bring some vegetarian food to share.  If you have a cushion / bench to sit on please bring it.  If you do not have one let me know and I have some spare ones to bring.  The floor in the room we will meditate is hard & wooden, so I would strongly recommend you bring a blanket or rug on which to rest your knees!

If you have expressed an interest in the Meditation Group but haven’t yet been able to have a meditation guide you can either to a regular group meeting before 10th November, or if coming for the first time on the 10th that’s fine just let me know in advance.
